The Christian fellowship at Carrollwood Bible Chapel is a local evangelical church that is both self-supporting and self-governing. It has no denominational affiliation but maintains contact with hundreds of similar groups throughout the world.
The basis of our fellowship is a common personal faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. We accept the Bible as having authority over us as individuals and as an assembly. It is all-sufficient to make known God's plan for our salvation and shaping our lives. Our meetings, government, and principles of behavior are a conscious effort to apply Scripture as we believe it was applied in the early days of the New Testament Church.
To provide opportunity to render collective worship to God
To maintain a corporate testimony to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and the oneness of His Body, the Church
To provide opportunity for the public teaching of the Word of God, fellowship, collective prayer, and practicing of the ordinances of baptism and the Lord's supper
To encourage evangelism through the local church and foreign missions
To provide a spiritual atmosphere for mutual care, encouragement, and growth for all ages
The Bible
We believe in the Bible as the divinely inspired, inerrant Word of God, the revelation of His mind and will to man, our infallible, all-sufficient guide for salvation and for the Christian life (2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Pet. 1:20-21).
Trinity
We believe in one God, the Creator of all, eternally existing in three persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The Deity of the Lord Jesus
We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, that He is the true God and true man begotten of the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, and that He has a perfect and sinless humanity (John 1:1; Phil. 2:6; Matt. 1:23-25; 1 John 3:5).
The total depravity of man
We believe in the total depravity of the nature of man through his fall in the Garden of Eden and the absolute inability of man to save himself from eternal punishment by his own works (Gen. 3; Rom. 3:23; Eph. 2:8-9).
The finished work of Christ
We believe in the finished work of Christ on the Cross of Calvary, through which sacrifice Christ has effected complete and eternal redemption, God set His seal of approval on the work of Christ by raising Him from among the dead, enthroning Him at His own right hand in Heaven, and in the truths that Christ is the Head of the Church, the Lord of the individual, the High Priest over the House of God, and Advocate in the family of God (Heb. 1:3).
Immediate Salvation
We believe in the immediate and eternal salvation of every person who truly believes on Christ and by faith rests on His finished work as the only righteous ground on which a Holy God can forgive his sins (John 3:16).
Salvation by Faith
We believe in the fact that all who by faith receive the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour are born again of the Holy Spirit, indwelt by the Holy Spirit, and by the Holy Spirit baptized into the Body of Christ, the Church, of which He is the risen and ascended Head (1 Cor. 12:12-14; Eph. 1:22-23; Col. 1:18).
Bodily Resurrection
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved (1 Thes. 4:17), and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost (Rev. 20:11-15).
Early Church pattern
We believe in the pattern of the early Church (that the believers met together and "continued steadfastly in the apostles" doctrine and fellowship and in breaking of bread, and in prayers" (Acts 2:42) as God's pattern for the Church today.
The Return of Jesus
We believe in the personal, imminent, and premillennial coming of the Lord to the air to Rapture (catch up) the Church (1 Thes. 4:13-17), and
Kingdom on earth
We believe in the revelation of Christ in glory at His Second Advent to the earth to establish His Kingdom on earth and to reign in righteousness (2 Thes. 1:6-10; Phil 2:9-11).
